ConclusionBoth acupuncture stimulus and thermal stimulus can cause the aggregation and degranulation of MCs and high expression of 5-HT in the acupoint area. Acupuncture and related therapies used as add-on to conventional treatments for heart failure: A systematic review of pairwise and network meta-analyses
ConclusionMost of the included ARTs add-on to CT was effective in improving HFC and LVEF. Acupoint injection and acupuncture may respectively have better effect than others for HFC and LVEF. A randomized controlled trail on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with acupotomy therapy based on the meridian sinew theory
ConclusionBoth acupotomy therapies guided by the meridian sinew theory and by the anatomy theory of Western medicine have good curative effect on knee osteoarthritis, but acupotomy guided by the meridian sinew theory has more superiorities in operability, safety and effectiveness, which is easy to be generalized in grass-roots and community hospitals. Acupuncture on back-shu points of five zang for chronic fatigue syndrome: a randomized control trial
ConclusionsAcupuncture on back-shu points of five zang can significantly improve the somatic fatigue and mental fatigue of the patients, and at the same time improve their psychological status. Significant therapeutic effect was found on CFS. Compared with the control group, the acupuncture treatment can significantly improve the patient's somatic fatigue, mental fatigue and psychological status. Effect of warm needling therapy and acupuncture in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis: a systematic review and meta-analysis☆
ConclusionThe results of this meta-analysis showed that warm needling therapy is superior to acupuncture in treating peripheral facial paralysis, providing a therapeutic option for the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis. However, due to the small sample size and the low quality of the included studies, the above conclusion still needs to be validated with high-quality, large-scale, randomized, blinded controlled trials. ConclusionThe short thrust needling at LI 9 achieves the satisfactory clinical therapeutic effects on entrapment syndrome of superficial radial nerve. The effect of electroacupuncture preconditioning on cognitive impairments following knee replacement among elderly: A randomized controlled trial
ConclusionEA preconditioning can mitigate cognitive impairments at post-knee replacement surgery 24 hours and 72 hours in elderly through inhibiting expression of inflammation.
