Primary pituitary insufficiency: a multidisciplinary approach

The investigation of haematuria and bladder cancer
Although there has been a decline in the incidence and mortality attributed to bladder cancer over the last two decades the disease is still a relatively common cause of cancer ‐related death worldwide. Here the authors argue that, in contrast to national guidelines, patients of any age presenting with visible haematuria or non‐visible haematuria at>40 years of age should be referred to a urologist for further evaluation. Men and perinatal depression
Depression as a result of becoming a parent is increasingly recognised in men and not solely as a disease affecting women. However, as the author discusses, signs and symptoms of perinatal depression in men can differ from those seen in women. The association between erectile dysfunction and CVD
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common neurovascular disorder that shares many common risk factors with cardiovascular disease (CVD). ED is also a cardiovascular risk factor itself and may be an early marker of future CVD. Men presenting with ED therefore provide an opportunity to screen for CVD risk factors and initiate targeted lifestyle changes and pharmacological intervention to reduce future risk.
