Practical guidelines for peer support programmes for mental health problems
Conclusions Use of peer support for mental heath problems is still underexplored and surrounded by some controversy and ambiguity. However, its organisation and proper monitoring appears to enhance the quality of life and social inclusion of people with mental illness. This highlights the importance of conducting studies that increase our knowledge of these programmes and determining guidelines for their implementation. Executive function is affected in autism spectrum disorder, but does not correlate with intelligence
Conclusion Children and adolescents with ASD-WID have difficulties transforming and mentally manipulating verbal information, longer response latency, attention problems (difficulty set shifting), trouble with automatic response inhibition and problem solving, despite having normal IQ. Considering the low executive functioning profile found in those patients, we recommend a comprehensive intervention including work on non-social problems related to executive cognitive difficulties. Efficacy of chess training for the treatment of ADHD: A prospective, open label study
Conclusions The results of our pilot study should be interpreted with caution. This pilot project highlights the importance of carrying out larger studies with a case–control design. Screening the risk of bipolar spectrum disorders: Validity evidence of the Mood Disorder Questionnaire in adolescents and young adults

Psychiatric disorders in cases of completed suicide in a hospital area in Spain between 2007 and 2010
Conclusions Psychiatric and forensic characteristics of completed suicide in this Spanish sample confirm previous findings from international studies: there is a high rate of psychiatric disorders in those who complete suicide, and there is a specific pattern as regards the method used to complete it. Discordance between two national health statistics sources (EMH and EESCRI, 1990–2009). Analysis of psychiatric morbidity
Conclusions Surprisingly, the questionnaires completed by hospitals to develop the EESCRI provide data on assisted morbidity quite different from that provided by the EMH, despite both statistical sources having the same inpatient records for data processing. It is difficult to attribute these differences to sampling error, as the EMH has a very high sampling fraction, which minimises the sampling error. Given the mismatch between sources, we recommend using the EMH, as it offers more reliable data and allows an accurate determination of the length of stays. Clinical guideline implementation strategies for common mental health disorders
Conclusions Developing guidelines is not enough; it is also necessary to promote their implementation in order to encourage their application. The resources and strategies described in this study may be potentially applicable to other contexts, and helpful to public health managers and professionals in the design of programmes and in the process of informed decision making to help increase access to efficient treatments.
