Pre‐exposure prophylaxis to reduce HIV infection in the UK
Recent research has estimated that pre‐exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) using the antiretroviral therapy Truvada (tenofovir disoproxil/emtricitabine) in men who have sex with men could prevent thousands of new HIV infections in the UK by the end of the decade.
