Test-retest reliability of dynamic balance performance-based measures among adults with a unilateral lower-limb amputation
There is large variation in administration of performance-based, dynamic balance measures among adults with lower-limb amputation (LLA). Further, there has been limited exploration of test-retest reliability of these measures in adults with lower-limb loss, including whether there is a difference in reliability if one records ‘best’ versus ‘average’ performance across trials. Lumbar Stability in Healthy Individuals and Low Back Pain Patients Quantified by Wall Plank-and-Roll Test
Low back pain has been linked to the degree of lumbar stability, but evaluating lumbar stability has remained a challenge. A previous research has shown that inertial sensors could be used to quantify motor patterns during the wall plank-and-roll (WPR) test, and that low back pain may cause deviations in movement from the general motor patterns observed in healthy subjects. Proximal Iliotibial Band Syndrome in a Runner: A Case Report
We report a case of a 38-year-old female recreational runner with progressive lateral hip pain and magnetic resonance imaging findings of edema along the gluteal aponeurotic fascia and origin of the tensor fascia lata muscle consistent with the diagnosis of enthesopathy of the proximal iliotibial band. Frequency and Characteristics of Recommendations from  Interdisciplinary Outpatient Cancer Rehabilitation Monthly Team Meetings
Ambulatory cancer rehabilitation programs vary widely in the types of services offered, and there is a lack of consistency with respect to the coordination of rehabilitation with oncologic treatment plans. There are no guidelines for outpatient interdisciplinary rehabilitation team meetings, and the types and characteristics of recommendations that a physiatrist can provide during these meetings have not been reported. Interdisciplinary Pain Management Improves Pain and Function in Pediatric Patients with Chronic Pain Associated with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome
The relationship between chronic musculoskeletal pain and joint hypermobility in a small percentage of the pediatric population is well described. However, literature discussing the treatment of chronic pain associated with joint hypermobility in pediatrics is limited. The present study examines the impact of interdisciplinary treatment on chronic pain in pediatrics with joint hypermobility syndrome (JHS). (Source: PM and R)

Dextromethorphan/Quinidine for Pseudobulbar Affect Following Stroke: Safety and Effectiveness in the PRISM II Trial
Dextromethorphan (DM)/quinidine (Q) was approved for pseudobulbar affect (PBA) treatment based upon efficacy and safety trials in patients with PBA secondary to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or multiple sclerosis. The PRISM II trial evaluated DM/Q as PBA treatment in patients with stroke, dementia or traumatic brain injury. (Source: PM and R)

Botulinum toxin: Techniques within pediatric physiatry
Intramuscular botulinum toxin injections are utilized for treatment of focal spasticity in children, particularly in those with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. There are a variety of techniques used when performing botulinum toxin injections without clear standards for pediatric providers. (Source: PM and R)

Cardiovascular Risk Factors Among Older Adults With Long-Term Spinal Cord Injury
Individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) now live longer, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Knowledge of cardiovascular risk factors amenable to intervention are therefore needed to support their healthy aging. (Source: PM and R)

Predictors of Performance on the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Maintenance of Certification Examination
Maintenance of certification (MOC) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a process of lifelong learning which begins after successfully completing an Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited residency and passing the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) Part I and Part II Examinations. We seek to identify factors predictive of successful MOC Examination performance. (Source: PM and R)
