Influences of Aerobic Dance on Cognitive Performance in Adults with Schizophrenia
This study examined the influences of an aerobic dance programme on the cognitive functions of people with schizophrenia. A quasi‐experimental matched‐control design was applied. The experimental group (n = 17) participated in a 60‐minute aerobic dance group class three times a week for 3 months. The control group (n = 19) participated in colouring and handwriting activities. What, Why, How – Creative Activities in Occupational Therapy Practice in Sweden
Abstract Creative activities have historically been used in occupational therapy, and although their usage has declined in recent decades, they are still used in Swedish practice. The aim of this study was to better understand how occupational therapists use creative activities in practice. Faculty Mentors' Perspectives on E ‐Mentoring Post‐Professional Occupational Therapy Doctoral Students
The objective of this study was to investigate faculty perspectives of faculty‐to‐student e‐mentoring in an online post‐professional doctor of occupational therapy program. Effect of Virtual Reality ‐based Bilateral Upper Extremity Training on Upper Extremity Function after Stroke: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
Abstract In the present study, we aimed to investigate the effect of virtual reality‐based bilateral upper extremity training (VRBT) on paretic upper limb function and muscle strength in patients with stroke. Eighteen stroke survivors were assigned to either the VRBT group (n = 10) or the bilateral upper limb training group (BT, n = 8).
