Double ‐barrel vascularized dual fibula transfer with epiphyseal growth plate for hip reconstruction: A case report
We present a case report of a 10‐year‐old girl diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma treated with intra‐articular wide resection of the right femur and reconstruction with a series‐connected double‐barrel bilateral vascularized fibula graft (db‐BVFG), including fibular head for articulation with the acetabulum of the pelvic bone and preservation of the epiphyseal growth plates for eventual limb growth. No postoperative complications were observed and bone union was achieved with fibular graft hypertrophy, allowing for full weight bearing. Neither local recurrence nor metastasis was observed at 17‐year follow‐up. Ran...

Decreasing ALT donor site morbidity with the keystone flap
ConclusionsPrimary closure of the ALT donor site is preferred, but becomes difficult as skin paddle width approaches 8 cm. Managing the ALT flap donor site with a keystone flap is safe, does not appear to have significant morbidity, and can allow the surgeon to avoid the morbidity and secondary donor site associated with skin grafting. Functional lower lip reconstruction with the partial latissimus dorsi muscle free flap without nerve coaptation
ConclusionThe technique is an alternative option in lower lip reconstruction since it provides satisfactory functional and esthetic results despite absence of any neural coaptation. (Source: Microsurgery)

Total nasal reconstruction with 3D custom made porous titanium prosthesis and free thoracodorsal artery perforator flap: A case report
We report the case of a patient who underwent several reconstruction steps with multiple failures including free and local flaps and cartilage harvests which showed recurrent episodes of necrosis and infection leading to melting and collapse of reconstructed structures. Furthermore, the patient did not want any anaplastological rehabilitation. We proposed to the patient an innovative method that consists to print a three‐dimensional custom‐made porous titanium prosthesis, based on the original shape of his nose, to replace the cartilage support. This implant was first inserted in a thoracodorsal artery perforator flap ...
