Prevalence and Characteristics of Developmental Dental Anomalies in Iranian Orofacial Cleft Patients
Conclusion: The most prevalent cleft types were unilateral and bilateral cleft lip and palate with male and left side predominance. Hypodontia, microdontia, dilacerations and supernumerary teeth were the most prevalent developmental dental anomalies among Iranian southwestern cleft patients. The surgical technique used to repair their cleft palate may have played a role in developmental dental defects.  Keywords●Dentition  ●Abnormalities  ●Cleft lip  ●Cleft palate  ●Prevalence (Source: Journal of Dentistry, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences)

The Role of Botulinum Toxin A in Treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders: A Review
In this study, online databases including Scopus, Medline, Ebsco, Cochrane, EMBASE, and Google scholar were searched for the keywords “pterygoid muscle” and “Onabotulinumtoxin A”.Twenty-four articles were eligible to be enrolled in the study. In 4 interventional studies and 20 descriptive studies, BTX-A was used for the treatment of TMDs. The dosage and number of injections were different in each study; however, the injection methods were relatively similar. Regardless of the type, number of injections, and dosage, injection of BTX-A in lateral pterygoid seems effective in reducing the click sound and other TMJ-rel...

A Rare Condition of Bimaxillary Primary Molar Taurodontism
Taurodontism is a relatively rare variance with a very low incidence in primary dentition and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. It stands a challenge when these teeth require pulp therapy. This case report illustrates the oral rehabilitation of multiple primary molars with taurodontism involving both the maxillary and mandibular arches, which is a rare occurrence.  Keywords●Bimaxillary  ●Endodontic treatment  ●Primary molar  ●Taurodontism (Source: Journal of Dentistry, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences)

Dental caries and associated factors among 2-4 years old children in Mbeya city, Tanzania
Conclusion: The prevalence of dental caries was very low. Older age and frequent consumption of factory made sugary foods at age 1-2 years were associated with higher odds of developing dental caries. Prolonged breasfeeding and breastfeeding at night had no association with dental caries. Prevention of dental caries should be instituted as soon as primary teeth start erupting, especially through discouraging consumption of factory made sugary foods/snacks.  Keywords●Dental caries  ●Risk factors  ●Children  ●Preschool  ●Tanzania (Source: Journal of Dentistry, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences)
