A case of radiation ‐induced osteosarcoma of the skull presenting as a cutaneous epidermotropic tumor with a short latent period
We report a case of a 34‐year‐old female who developed an osteosarcoma of the scalp, over a previous craniotomy scar, 3 years after excision of a frontal anaplastic oligodendroglioma which had been followed by a course of 6 weeks radiotherapy (58 Gy) and 6 cycles of temozolomide. The histological features were those of a high‐grade osteosarcoma with epidermotropism of tumor cells. Lymph nodes were partially replaced by high‐grade metastatic osteosarcoma, with extra‐nodal lymphatic tumor thrombi. To our knowledge the only other case report of post‐radiation osteosarcoma with a short latency period was a case...

GATA3 staining in primary cutaneous apocrine cribriform carcinoma: Usefulness to differentiate it from breast cancer metastasis
ConclusionEven though GATA3 expression has been reported in many benign and malignant adnexal tumors (mostly of sebaceous, follicular, and apocrine differentiation), as well as in many other neoplasms, GATA3 staining to differentiate PCACC from skin breast cancer metastasis has a high negative predictive value. A positive GATA3 staining in this context should permit one to rule out PCACC with a high level of confidence. (Source: Journal of Cutaneous Pathology)

Tumor ‐stage mycosis fungoides in palmoplantar localization with large cell transformation and partial CD30 expression shows complete response to brentuximab vedotin
Mycosis fungoides in palmoplantar localization (MFPP) is a rare variant of MF that is confined to the hands and feet. Patients commonly receive treatment over many years for suspected palmoplantar dermatitis before the diagnosis is made. Most MFPP patients remain at patch or plaque stage, and often respond to treatment with radiotherapy. Herein we describe a 77‐year‐old man who suffered 6 years of hand and foot dermatitis that failed multiple treatments, most notably TNF‐α inhibitors and mycophenolate mofetil. He eventually developed a tumor on the hand, which was biopsied to reveal a dense dermal infiltrate of larg...

Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma with epidermodysplasia verruciformis ‐like features in a patient with Schimke immune‐osseous dysplasia (SIOD)
Schimke immune‐osseous dysplasia1 (SIOD) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the SMARCAL1 gene encoding an ATP‐driven annealing helicase that stabilizes stalled replication forks and facilitates DNA repair during replication2. The syndrome is characterized by spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, steroid‐resistant nephropathy and cellular immune deficiency. (Source: Journal of Cutaneous Pathology)

Intravesicular taxane ‐induced dermatotoxicity in a 78‐year‐old man with urothelial carcinoma and primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma
Patients treated with intravesical bacillus Calmette‐Guerin therapy for urothelial carcinoma often become refractory and experience recurrent disease, thus necessitating alternative intravesical treatment modalities if the patient is to be spared the morbidities associated with radical cystectomy. Intravesical treatment with taxane‐based chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, has gained traction in urologic oncology, proving to be an effective salvage therapy in such patients. Systemic taxane‐based chemotherapeutic regimens have long been used in several advanced malignancies, and their systemic side effects and associated...
