An Unusual Presentation in Urinothorax.
We report the case of a 35-year-old female who presented with dyspnoea and right-sided chest pain. Chest radiograph revealed a right-sided pleural effusion. The patient had undergone left-sided ovarian cystectomy three months ago, had sustained a left-sided ureteric injury that required ureteric stent placement. Urinothorax was suspected as a consequence of ureteric injury; pleural fluid to serum creatinine ratio was found to be greater than one, confirming the diagnosis. Symptomatic Unilateral Pleural Effusion Secondary due to Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome.
Authors: Gaude G, Chaudhury A Abstract Isolated pleural effusion is a rare presentation of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome following ovulation induction therapy. We hereby report the case of a 24-year-old female who presented with unilateral moderate pleural effusion following ovulation induction therapy. Therapeutic thoracentesis was performed to relieve the breathlessness in this case. PMID: 30152657 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Indian Journal of Chest Diseases and Allied Sciences)

Miliary Adenocarcinoma of the Lung with Lepidic Pattern: A Morphological Conundrum. Infiltrating bilateral pulmonary miliary adenocarcinoma with predominantly lepidic pattern.
Authors: Amonkar GP, Desai HM Abstract Miliary multi-focal bilateral pulmonary adenocarcinoma with lepidic predominant pattern is an unusual morphological presentation and is seen in females who are non-smokers. This gross morphology can be confused with infectious diseases, like tuberculosis, histoplasmosis or with pulmonary metastasis. Spectrum of Clinical Presentation of Pulmonary Alveolar Microlithiasis: Case Series from North India.
We describe five cases of pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis (PAM) from North India with characteristic radiological and histopathological features. All patients were symptomatic with variable severity and duration of the symptoms and one patient developed cor-pulmonale during the course of follow-up. Diagnosis of PAM was suspected on the basis of classical sand-storm appearance on radiological examination and confirmed by transbronchial lung biopsy in four of the five cases. Apart from other features, presence of pleural and pericardial calcification in one case makes this discussion valuable. Awareness of this specific en...

Transtracheal Oxygen Therapy and Bronchial Toileting using Minitracheostomy in Patients with Advanced Respiratory Failure.
We describe three such cases with advanced respiratory failure where a modification of conventional transtracheal oxygenation was used successfully. This method provided the added advantage of being more cost-effective and helping in easy bronchial toileting. Authors: Agrawal A, Chandermani, Madaan H, Yadav S Abstract A 60-year-old female who was known to have rheumatoid arthritis for the preceding two-and-half years presented with difficulty in breathing associated with chest pain over the right hemithorax of two months duration. She was found to have a right-sided mild to moderate pleural effusion; there was no evidence of pleural thickening. The pleural fluid was pale yellow in appearance and diagnostic work-up confirmed it to be a pseudochylous pleural effusion.
