The impact of review articles
Orthopaedic Surgeons are often accused of having poor levels of evidence for their clinical practice. Especially in foot and ankle we are labelled as not basing our treatment on evidence based medical science. Yet there are many ways in which it can be difficult to produce Level 1 and 2 studies that seem to the required standard. (Source: Foot and Ankle Surgery)

Is interposition arthroplasty a viable option for treatment of moderate to severe hallux rigidus? — A systematic review and meta-analysis
Hallux rigidus (HR) is a painful arthritis of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (FMTPJ), which can cause stiffness and progressive loss of motion at the joint to the point of affecting the push-off phase of normal gait. The primary treatment strategies for early stages of hallux rigidus include activity modification, orthotics, analgesics, and corticosteroids. When conservative management fails, numerous viable operative techniques exist to treat hallux rigidus, such as cheilectomy, resection arthroplasty, implant arthroplasty, and arthrodesis [1 –7]. Insertional anatomy of peroneal brevis and longus tendon — A cadaveric study
The Peroneal Tendon (PT) complex is formed by the Peroneus Longus Tendon (PLT) and Peroneus Brevis Tendon (PBT), their synovial sheath, the superior and inferior retinaculum, and the Os Peroneum (OP). The peroneal longus (PLM) and brevis (PBM) muscles are in the lateral compartment of the leg, being innervated by the peroneal superficial nerve and supplied by the anterior tibial and peroneal arteries [1].
