Breaking the news: Belief in fake news and conspiracist beliefs
ConclusionPrior political beliefs and the tendency for conspiracist ideation appear particularly important for individuals' endorsement of FN, regardless of prior exposure to the specific news presented. As such, conspiracy theory (CT) belief and its underlying mechanisms appear a useful starting point in identifying some of the underlying individual difference variables involved in conspiratorial and non ‐conspiratorial FN belief. Establishing norms for mental well ‐being in young people (7–19 years) using the General Health Questionnaire‐12
ConclusionsOur results support the use of the GHQ ‐12 for the measurement of mental well‐being symptoms in children from 7 to 19 years of age. Overall, psychometric properties including sensitivity, suggest that the GHQ‐12 provides a robust indicator of short‐term mental state in children and adolescents. ConclusionsDaytime dysfunction due to fatigue was an important predictor of lower psychological wellbeing in this sample of horse trainers. Longitudinal and qualitative investigation of both sleep and non ‐sleep as factors in generating fatigue could assist to further delineate predictors of depression and anxiety in this population. Volunteering benefits life satisfaction over 4 years: The moderating role of social network size
ConclusionWe found that longer volunteering time was associated with a higher level of increase in life satisfaction during the 4 ‐year interval. Life satisfaction increased more in participants who lost more friends than in participants who lost fewer friends. Consistent with socioemotional selectivity theory, emotional goals were positively associated with more short‐term and long‐term volunteering behaviours. Characteristics and experiences of targeted parents of parental alienation from their own perspective: A systematic literature review
ConclusionTargeted parents report consistent stories about the nature of the alienation tactics used by alienating parents across the included studies. Targeted parents expressed dissatisfaction with legal and mental health system services available to them. Further, despite feeling despair, frustration, and isolation, targeted parents appear to be resilient and seek out positive coping strategies.
