Isagenix. – Diet Review
Conclusion – Does Isagenix Work? Isagenix Isalean’s shake is marketed well, but it’s loaded with sugar and calories. There’s also a lot of protein added, but once you research what kinds of ingredients are included, you realize it’s not a quality meal replacement. The protein added is cheap and can be found for a reduced price elsewhere. Many customers have also complained about the taste, lack of weight loss, and the hard to drink consistency. There are better options which have only 1 gram of sugar, no added fructose, only high quality whey protein, and great reviews to back up their weight loss claims.  T...

Frangollo – Spiced Almond & Millet Pudding. Vegan & Gluten Free.
I’m really excited to share this recipe which I have designed for the Monarch Island Cookbook to celebrate the food of Lanzarote. I’d never heard of Frangollo before, until researching the traditional foods of this beautifully unspoiled island. When I came across it, I knew I had to make a version of it. I am, after all, a sucker for comfort food and this looked mighty cosy. Frangollo is made across the Canary Islands and is traditionally made with millet flour or maize, enriched with butter and eggs and sweetened with hints of citrus and spice. It’s like a thick, creamy semolina pudding but with excitin...

Turmeric Coconut Rice | Bunny Kitchen
Can you believe it’s February already? There was a lot of hype in January around dieting and detoxing after the festive season. February is when I really get to grips with a healthy, balanced eating plan for the rest of the year. The indulgent magazine clippings get tucked away and instead I search and browse for exciting new healthy recipes to try and interesting tricks and flavours to play with in the ki...

Since becoming disabled with widespread neuropathic pain, chronic migraine and fatigue, I can’t cook how I used to – always having a fully ...

How much can what we eat help inflammatory bowel disease?
Speaking at the event, Dr Alan Desmond, Consultant Gastroenterologist at South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, UK, suggested that active Crohn’s Disease (CD) can be successfully reversed by adopting a Whole Food Plant Based Diet (WFPBD). He cited data from two trials which have shown diets like the WFPBD, which restricts animal protein, animal fat, omega-6 PUFAs, dairy, emulsifiers and food additives while providing dietary fibre can bring improvements in people with Crohn’s in just six weeks. Patients in the trials obtained 50% of caloric intake from an enteral formula (an artificial ‘complete nutrition...
