EMT and DEA Agent Injured in Georgia Ambulance Crash
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A DEA agent and an [EMT] were rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after a head-on crash, Clayton County EMS officials confirmed. It happened along Tara Blvd. near Main Street around 1:30 p.m. Clayton County police said the crash involved an SUV and an ambulance. The SUV and ambulance appeared to been involved in a head-on crash. The ambulance was not on an emergency run at the time of the crash and was not transporting a patient. Five Dead, Three Injured in Texas Crash
VICTORIA, Texas (AP) — Authorities say five people have been killed and seven injured in a three-vehicle accident in South Texas. The Department of Public Safety says the crash happened around 11 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 59, 5 miles (8 kilometers) northeast of Victoria. Sgt. Ruben San Miguel says investigators are trying to determine why a northbound van hit the left rear of a northbound semi pulling a flatbed trailer. The van then struck a southbound pickup truck. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A woman and her 18-month-old twin daughters died in a fiery, seven-vehicle crash on an Indianapolis freeway, authorities said. Indiana State Police say the crash happened about midday Sunday on eastbound Interstate 465. Boston EMS Supervisor Attacked, Day After EMT Stabbed
SOUTH BOSTON (CBS) – For the second time this week, a person has been charged with attacking an EMT in Boston. The latest incident happened Thursday afternoon on Old Colony Avenue in South Boston. EMTs were called to a pizza shop for an unconscious woman when another woman tried to push past a Boston EMS supervisor to get inside the store. Pennsylvania Ambulance Signs Remind Patients It's Not OK to Assault Medics
One EMS company in Pennsylvania is hoping signs it installs inside ambulances will have the salutatory effect of reducing assaults against first responders. According to a report from WGAL 8, a sign hangs in every ambulance at Cumberland Goodwill Emergency Medical Services, reminding patients that assaulting a first responder is a felony. "We now want them to be aware that, look, violence against EMS providers is not OK," Nathan Harig of Cumberland Goodwill EMS told reporters. Survivor Describes Fatal Minnesota Medical Helicopter Crash
BAXTER, Minn. (AP) — A paramedic who survived a fatal medical helicopter crash in Minnesota has told investigators the pilot reported foggy conditions on approach to the airport and that they needed to go around. He then noticed the helicopter spin to the right and hit the ground. Fiery Accident Injures Nine in California

Boston EMT Stabbed Multiple Times Inside Ambulance
BOSTON (WCVB) - An EMT was stabbed while responding to an incident on New Chadron Street in downtown Boston Wednesday afternoon. The female EMT was stabbed multiple times inside of an ambulance by a patient according to information obtained by 5 Investigates. The EMT, a 14-year veteran of the department, was rushed to nearby Massachusetts General Hospital and was reported to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Four-Year Old Struck by Lifeguard Truck on California Beach
CORONADO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a lifeguard truck has run over a 4-year-old girl on a San Diego-area beach. It happened at about 6:15 p.m. Monday in Coronado. There's no immediate word on the girl's condition. City Fire Chief Jim Lydon tells the San Diego Union-Tribune that lifeguards were patrolling in a pickup truck that maneuvered around a berm near Dog Beach. Antioch, CA Rollover
EastCounty Today - At around 8:00 pm Saturday, a driver ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle causing it to overturn and take out a pole in the City of Antioch on W. 10th Street at D Street.  Antioch Police and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded and requested 3 ambulance for 3 patients, two which sustained moderate injuries.
