Caribbean medical school comparison tool
by ElianaBryson (Posted Thu Feb 07, 2019 7:05 am) There are many factors which come into play when we go for choosing a Caribbean medical school. I believe the major factors should be their clinical affiliates across US and the other is their accreditation. Clinical affiliates helps students in gaining practical exposure along-with making industrial relations and accreditation helps them in being recognized and further move forward to top universities in the field. There are many caribbean schools which accept students easily but many of them are not accredited in United States and Windsor Caribbean Medical School is accre...

How to Study for the MCAT, by a tutor and 525 scorer
by Trev_K (Posted Mon Jan 28, 2019 3:57 pm) I just posted a long version of this on my tutoring website (trevorkleetutor.com/boston-mcat-prep), but here's the short version. As a professional tutor, I can safely say that the MCAT is a really hard exam. It's chock full of content, and it requires you to be good at doing questions (which is not the same thing as knowing content). That's tough! In order to study for the MCAT, you need to act like a marathon runner, and like a coach of a runner. What do I mean? Well, you will need to put miles on the pavement (aka do questions and content review), first and foremost. You can't su...

What Undergrad Major to Pick for Med school?
by ElianaBryson (Posted Mon Dec 17, 2018 6:23 am) Biology major may not be the best choice for you as research indicates that people with majors in humanities and physical sciences have the highest rate of getting accepted into a Med school. My advice for you is to go for Physical sciences majors as it would be having a lot of maths too which would ultimately help you in securing good at Mcat as well. (Source: Med Student Guide)

I want admission in a university in the Caribbean region?
by ImogenArnold (Posted Thu Dec 13, 2018 4:05 am) It totally depends upon the type of university you have in mind and the degree program you are interested in. This usually happens with students that they don ’t get admission in a particular Caribbean medical university they like and get admitted in a med school where the degree program they want is simply not offered. So you need to be well-prepared for scenarios like these.http://www.windsor.edu/ (Source: Med Student Guide)
