I've 'volunteeres' for the task of writing some guidelines for primary care physicians regarding the screening of family members where there is a history of sudden cardiac death or inherited cardiac condition. the bbc website is carrying a story about ventricular remodelling surgery to improve cardiac function http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-24579402 this type of operation is pretty uncommon in t he UK but I think is more widely practiced in other regions. what to do when you find ischemia of whole small intestine during laparotomy?
yesterday i operated on 57 years old male , had controlled DM , otherwise fit and healthy , presented with 4 days history of adbominal pain , vomit , low output. On examination and investigations found to have peritonities . A exploratory laparotomy was done under GA . Whole of his small bowel , from D-J flexure to almost 6 inch proximal to I-C junction was gangrenous. Hi, I would like to have your opinion on this topic. I have been to different countries, and wherever you go you have to appear and qualify their examination. As far as i believe 80 percent of illnesses are the same all over the world. We all read almost same text books. There are differences in several diseases due to infections prevalent in particular areas, different weather and environmental conditions and again different facilities available.
