A 5-Minute Workout for Busy Girls
We're pumped to present our favorite story of the week from our pals at POPSUGAR Fitness! Can you spare five minutes? Of course you can. (Even during this hectic holiday season!) This workout is just five basic exercises, 20 reps of each, done three times a day. Pick three times that work for you such as before getting in the shower in the morning, right before eating lunch at noon, and before hopping into bed at night. That's all, and you'll soon notice a difference in strength in your entire body. (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionista by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.)

Winter Skin Rx: Hydrating Face Masks
Winter means dry, flaky skin. Even for those of us who suffer from acne outbreaks during the summer. (Really!) So rather than try to fix our flaking skin with harsh products, give your face a break with a well-deserved drink. You know, a surge of moisture. And what better way to give your face one than with a seriously hydrating moisturizing mask? (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionista by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.)

How Can I Pull Off the Racerfront Style?
The Look: It's the clothing equivalent of your Speedo. Not too revealing (no visible cleavage) but sexy, thanks to the tight front and hint of side boob. Fit is everything. Shop for a top with a neck that lies flat and is tight, but without sausaging. Visible bra straps? Never! (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionista by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.)

Look Like You Do Yoga Everyday -- Without Ever Hitting the Mat
As a fitness editor, I pride myself on lots of healthy accomplishments, like PR'ing a recent half-marathon. But that old thing called flexibility, well, it's my greatest shame. Listen, I know it's important (keeping those muscles supple makes you better at everything else, be it running, lifting, Kama-Sutra-worthy sex). But stretching and regular yoga rank near scrapbooking high-school photos and organizing my sock drawer on my list of priorities. Friends? I found a workaround, a way to get limber just lying there: A Sunlighten sauna! (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionista by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.)

#FitGirl Finds New Ways to Get Her 30 Minutes of Exercise While on Holiday
Hey Fit Girls! How was your weekend? After fighting a fever for a few days, I got back on track -- and now I feel a lot better. Although I thought I had rested (and let me body rest quite a bit, I tallied my workouts for the week last night and managed to squeeze in five sessions! But remember, as I am traveling, not currently in a major city, and don't have easy gym access, I'm being liberal with my workouts -- counting a long walk I took yesterday as one of my sessions. I mean, we were out and about in the fresh air for about two hours! It was so lovely to be immersed in nature, and even the gorgeous winter sun made an a...

SELF's #FitGirl Fights a Bug -- and Finds an App to Get Her Back on Track
Hey #FitGirls! How has your week been? I landed in London earlier this week and let me say, it's wonderful to be back (I lived here while attending grad school a few years ago). I got on my flight from NYC feeling totally fine and landed in London a mere six hours later with a pounding headache, sore throat a lost voice and other signs of fever. Interestingly, I recently downloaded this really cool iPhone app that measures your heart rate and I noticed the past week that my heart rate upon waking was about 10 BPM faster than my usual resting heart rate is. I thought it was a misread initially, but when I asked my husband...
