Look Like You Don't Have a Hangover in Minutes Flat With These Beauty Tips
It's New Year's Eve! And, as to be expected, my favorite part of the night out is getting all glammed up. My least favorite? Looking like I've been hit by a truck the next day. Usually, I just wallow in bed until it doesn't matter anymore, but this year I'm staying with my boyfriend's parents, so I need to look human at some point before noon. The whole thing should take you less than fifteen minutes flat. (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionista by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.)

If You Eat Slower, Will You Stave Off Hunger?
Remember how your mom always used to tell you at the dinner table to shut down Hoover mode and eat more slowly? Turns out, she might be right. Eating more slowly may help you consume fewer calories and leave you less hungry, according to a new study from Texas Christian University. Solange Rocks Super-Straight 'Do, We're Obsessed
Did you guys see Solange at the Falls Festival in Australia? I swear I did a double take at her gorgeous, butt-length strands. Usually, I'm not into super-straight hair but Solange pulls it off like a pro. But the surprising secret to her straight-as-a-rail strands? Volume. Solange's version of volume is made up of hundreds of tiny little braids, but unless you've got eight hours (or more) to sit in a salon chair, you'll probably have to pass on the plaits. Instead, up your volume with clip-in extensions that are heat-style-friendly (which it should say on the packaging). (Source: The ND Blog: Notes from the Nutritionis...

5-Minute Meal: To-Go Omelet (in a Mug!)
In my brand-new book, Schedule Me Skinny: Plan to Lose Weight and Keep it Off in Just 30 Minutes a Week (It hits shelves this week!), I show readers that it is possible to eat healthy meals even when you are crazy busy. Seriously! And since we all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it's critical to have options that you can literally throw together and take with you on rushed mornings. This on-the-go omelet is one of my new favorite recipes from my book because it is high in filling protein, packed with veggies and is full of flavor! (Can't you see that smile on my face?!) Simply whisk all the ingredient...

Five Socially Acceptable Ways To Wear Sweatpants In Public
We're stoked to share our favorite story of the week from our sister mag, Lucky! Did everyone start using as loungewear as everyday wear when Britney Spears danced to "Hit Me Baby One More Time" in track pants? Or maybe that happened when velour sweatsuits, the unofficial celebutante uniform of 2004, became popular? Of course, it could've been Rachel Roy's red carpet sleep set or all of Marc Jacobs' pajama-clad appearances last winter that really cemented the trend in popular culture, making it a thing. Whatever it was, I know this for sure: the look's lost its shock value. Everyone's eyes have adjusted. (Source: The ND B...

FINALLY! Use This Glitter-Specific Base Coat for Your NYE Mani
New Year's Eve totally make me want to overload on glitter-based, crazy glam nail art (I've been planning a mani along the lines of Ke$ha's American Music Awards look since she rocked it.) Buuuuut peeling it off the morning after (because you know we'll forget our Elmer's Glue trick, especially if we're on the road.) is almost as bad as the inevitable hangover. The peeling, soaking, buffing, scrubbing mess that is usually removing glitter can't be good for your nails -- even though it's just so freaking pretty. To the rescue? OPI's awesome new Glitter Off Base Coat, which is my new shiny, sparkly BFF. (Source: The ND B...
