Issue Highlights
Although colonoscopy with polypectomy has been shown to reduce the overall incidence and mortality from colorectal cancer (CRC), the impact on proximal colon cancers has been harder to demonstrate. Retroflexion in the right colon (RC) and re-examining the RC with a second forward view (SFV) have been shown to increase RC ADR but studies have been limited to a single site, raising the question of generalizability. Tang et al.1 conducted an international multicenter randomized trial evaluating SFV vs standard withdrawal colonoscopy (SWC) on RC ADR.
