Postoperative Orthostatic Intolerance: A Common Perioperative Problem With Few Available Solutions

(Abstracted from Can J Anaesth, 64(1):10–15, 2017) This editorial provides an overview of postoperative orthostatic intolerance (OI) with an update and perspective on the current knowledge and potential mitigation measures. Postoperative OI symptoms include dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, or syncope during sitting or standing.
