Wrinkling over finger tip

A 12 year-old child presented with verrucae over the tips of left second and third fingers. Removal of lesions with ablative carbon-di-oxide LASER was planned. Informed consent was obtained from the father. A cream containing eutectic mixture of local anaesthetic (EMLA) was applied over the left second and third fingers. A total dose of about 0.5 gm was applied over the involved fingers. Cream was applied under occlusion covering digital pulp and dorsal aspect of distal phalanx. The occlusion tape was removed after one hour of application of EMLA cream.
