Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs Appear Underused

March 10, 2015 - With the increasing use of opioid analgesics has
come public health concerns associated with the misuse and abuse of
these drugs. States have developed prescription drug monitoring programs
(PDMPs) to help identify and deter opioid abuse, but they are not
always used.
