Single-institution Experience of Outcomes after Excision of Benign Phyllodes Tumors: Low Recurrence Risk Despite Positive Margins

Guidelines recommend> 1 cm margins for excision of borderline or malignant phyllodes tumors but variability exists for benign phyllodes tumors (BPT). We hypothesize that positive (+) margins after BPT excision is not associated with high recurrence and re-excision is unnecessary.
