Low Levels of Serum Angiopoietin-1 Are Associated with Benign and Malignant Thyroid Disease
Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy and angiogenesis has been shown to play a key role in its development. Activity of the angiopoietin (Ang) family of growth factors has been implicated in tumor-related angiogenesis for several forms of malignancy, including differentiated thyroid cancer.
