Retrograde Dissection of the Recurrent Laryngeal Nerve: A Simple and Safe Thyroidectomy Technique

The traditional surgical technique for thyroid surgery has limitations in terms of exposure of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. The aim of the study was to describe the experience with an alternative retrograde dissection technique and the factors related to the appearance of postoperative dysphonia with this technique.
