Use of Polyvinyl Alcohol-Porcine Small Intestine Submucosa Stent in the Prevention of Anastomotic Leaks in the Porcine Colon
The aim of our study was to use a porcine colonic leak model with a 92-100% leak rate to evaluate a novel biologic intraluminal stent. The stent would be sewed inside the colon during surgery to cover an intentional 2cm antimesenteric defect.
