Creation, Implementation, and Utilization of an Online, Context-Relevant Surgical Education Curriculum in Sub-Saharan Africa
With the burden of surgical disease in variable-resource settings like sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), there are efforts to enhance surgical education. Yet, knowledge gaps remain when exclusively western-based teaching resources are used. As online education expands globally, we hypothesized that an online, context-relevant, surgical curriculum could be developed, delivered, and utilized throughout SSA.
