Expanding Global Surgical Capabilities Through Sustainable, Affordable, and Locally Championed Adjuncts

Global surgery has long been thought of as a crucial aspect in the amelioration of people ’s lives. However, it has frequently been regarded as too expensive or difficult; and has taken a back seat to other humanitarian endeavors. In February of 2019, our Surgery Program in collaboration with a local Foundation compiled suggestions from the literature to develop an affordable and effec tive trauma and basic life support course.
