Global Safety on Thoracostomy in the Low to Middle Income Countries: Chest Tube Surgical (chests) Group a Scoping Review

Injuries were estimated to cause 4.2 million deaths in 2019 with 85% found in the low-and-middle-income-countries (LMICs). Depending on the country, 20-40% developed complications as a result of tube thoracostomies (TT). This raises safety concerns in the procedure. We aim to map the global complications of TT encompassing all pathologies that require TT.
