Use of a Needs Assessment to Prioritize Interventions in a Global Partnership

In 2018 The American College of Surgeons ’ Operation Giving Back (OGB), partnered with the Hawassa University Comprehensive Specialty Hospital (HUCSH) to strengthen the provision of surgical care in Southern Ethiopia. With the goal of addressing the academic needs of the surgical faculty and residents, a needs assessment was administered and then used to guide the collaboration.
