Instant COVID sensor to prevent outbreaks and protect communities

(RMIT University) New technology can instantly detect SARS-CoV-2 and variants even when people have no symptoms. The sensor can be placed in a room or worn as a personal tag, to provide the all-clear or alert people if they need to undertake a PCR test and self-isolate. Research team is aiming towards commercial release in early 2022.
