COVID-19 disruptions in sub-Saharan Africa will have substantial health consequences

Chan School of Public Health) The COVID-19 pandemic poses substantial indirect risks to sub-Saharan African countries with fragile health systems and high levels of poverty, malnutrition, and other infectious diseases. New survey data from Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, and Nigeria provides evidence for public policy to mitigate against nutrition, health, social, and economic impacts of COVID-19 as the pandemic continues to spread on the continent.
