The facial nerve versus the retromandibular vein: a new anatomical relationship.

The facial nerve is an important nerve that handles different functions. Its relation to the retromandibular vein and parotid tumors should be estimated preoperatively to avoid nerve injury or bleeding that might result from different unexpected nerve-vein relationship. We have reported a new case of 65-year-old male with right Warthin tumor who underwent superficial parotidectomy that showed a new facial nerve and retromandibular vein relationship.
