Erosion of Polypropylene Suture into Bladder after Inguinal Herniorrhaphy: A Rare Case of Acute Urinary Retention and Lessons Learned

We present a case of polypropylene suture placed during an inguinal herniorrhaphy and functioned as a nidus for a bladder calculus, causing acute urinary retention. This case highlights the risk of entrapping the urinary bladder wall during an inguinal hernia repair procedure.
