Fetal Development Site – Color Photos and Videos

I recently decided to open up a Fetal Development wordpress site. Fetal development is a topic that is very near and dear to my heart–both as a NICU nurse and as a mother of 5 children. I am always amazed when I hear people talk about an 8 week old fetus as “not alive” or a ball of cells. It is even harder when I hear people discuss the fact that a baby in the third trimester is not a baby at all. I have taken care of 24 week preemie babies and I assure you–they are babies in every sense of the word. Yes they are small…and yes they are fragile, but they are babies (complete with 10 fingers and 10 toes). They also most assuredly feel pain both in utero and outside of the womb. If you don’t believe me, check out these amazing color photos of life in the womb and videos even of babies as they grow and develop inside. www.fetaldevelopmentweekly.com   Then let me know what you think.. .
