Safety of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients undergoing carbon dioxide insufflation in extended endoscopic procedures
Conclusion: The present study, which was the only study looking at CO2 insufflation specifically in COPD patients, provides evidence that CO2 insufflation is safe in COPD despite a slight increase in EtCO2.
