Ann Koopman: In Memoriam

We sadly note that former JEFFLINE Editor Ann Koopman passed away on Friday, December 20th, 2013 from complications relating to pulmonary hypertension. Ann came to Scott Memorial Library in 1995 as a Reference Librarian and served as the principal architect and longtime editor of JEFFLINE, the library’s website. She performed those roles with exceptional energy and enthusiasm even in the face of the escalating health challenges that eventually caused her to take disability leave from Jefferson in 2012. Ann also served Jefferson as a Health Mentor. Ann is survived by her husband, Eric Pumroy, and her two daughters, Rachel Pumroy and Ruth Anne Pumroy, and son-in-law Adam Schaible. A memorial event will be held Saturday, January 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Wyndham Alumnae House at Bryn Mawr College. Her family warmly welcomes all of her friends to come and share their memories of Ann. In lieu of flowers, Ann’s family requests gifts be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Special Libraries Association, or to Save the Children. An active long-term member of SLA, Ann continued to serve that organization after leaving Jefferson. See their tribute to her below which includes the obituary posted on Ann’s facebook page: In Remembrance of Ann Koopman: Mentor, Leader and Friend
