Tired, But Very Happy…

Midnight rolled around and a peaceful quiet soon followed. I am lucky loud noises don’t bother Maggie. I had just ate a pint of Ben and Jerry’s strawberry cheesecake ice-cream when the last firework next door fired. I turned off the television and headed to bed. My warm and soft covers awaited me. As Horsefly always says, “I love my covers!” Fiesta Time… My neighbors down the street always throw extremely huge parties and you couldn’t find a parking space even all the way up to my house. They had my driveway blocked and it perturbed Charlie, but I persuaded him into not calling the police. “They’re just having fun,” I told Charlie complacently. “I almost wish I could join them.” “Don’t you go down there getting drunk!” Charlie said with an extremely nervous sounding chuckle. I managed to squeeze in between two cars and parked in front of my house’s front door into the yard. Charlie then helped me get in my groceries.  “Now, get enough to last one week,” Charlie had sternly told me at Kroger insistently earlier. “Aye, aye, Captain!” I told him and headed off with an empty grocery cart. I spent $99 dollars. It is a good feeling to have a pantry so full of food! I sometimes forget it is my money we’re speaking of after all.
