Traditional Southern New Year’s Day Meal…

I have a very warm just delivered plate of peppercorn encrusted pork loin, mac and cheese, cabbage, collards, and black eyed peas sitting on the stove. Or Hoppin’ John as some in the South would call it. I better go eat it while it is still warm.  It is driving Maggie crazy at the moment. She will surely enjoy some pork loin and Charlie's wife was very generous with the portions.  Another friend acquired four Mason jars of lemon drop moonshine! He asked me if I wanted some and I almost went over to the dark side of the force. “I can be at your house in 15 minutes,” Ely told me. “Yeah, and I will be in the gutter by tomorrow morning,” I replied honestly to Ely holding him at bay.
