a 17-year-old in Nairn, Louisiana who was unintentionally shot in the leg by an 18-year-old friend while they were hog hunting. Another 18-year-old died when he was unintentionally shot in the head when the shooter mistook his friends for hogs.
a 14-year-old in St. Paul, Minnesota who was unintentionally shot in the abdomen by his 15-year-old friend who was playing with a rifle that he may have found in his basement.
a 3-year-old in Avondale, Ohio who is in critical condition after he unintentionally shot himself with a gun that he likely found under the bed.
an 18-month-old in Richland, Washington who died of head trauma after a TV fell off its stand and landed on the toddler.
a 3-year-old in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who died after he fell from an open third-floor window in his family's apartment.
an 18-month-old in Cape Coral, Florida who drowned in a backyard swimming pool at his home.
a 3-year-old in Jacksonville, Texas who is in critical condition after being attacked by one of the family's dogs, a pit bull mix, after the child had gone into his backyard, wanting to play with other family members. The dog bit him in the throat and didn't let go until he was stabbed by the child's father.
an 8-year-old in Queens, New York who died after he was hit by a tractor-trailer making a left turn. The boy was in a crosswalk and was just half a block from his school.
