The role of the echocardiographer in the catheterisation laboratory

Recent advances in minimally invasive PCI would not have been possible without parallel developments in imaging, allowing precise guidance of catheters, optimisation of results and detection of complications. Eric Brochet, from the Hôpital Bichat, Paris, explores the importance of developing good team work between echocardiographers and interventionalists.
