Library Advocacy MOOC offered

The University of Toronto is offering a MOOC titled “Library Advocacy Unshushed: Values, Evidence, Action” which starts on February 24, 2014. The course will include: Values and transformative impacts of libraries and librarianship. Research on current perceptions of libraries and librarians. Role of relationships in advocacy. Principles of influence and their impact on advocacy. Strategic thinking and planning in advocacy. Effective communication: messages, messengers, and timing. You can take the course for a certificate or audit if you are unable to complete the full work of the class.
