Now Hiring: In-Country Volunteer Program Coordinator (Arusha, TZ)

We are currently seeking to fill In-Country Coordinators for our upcoming 2014 Summer Volunteer Program season. Program Dates: VP1: May 31-July 24 VP2: June 19-August 14 VP3: June 26-August 21 VP4 (8 weeks): September 10-November 6 VP4 (12 weeks): September 10-December 3 Responsibilities: In-Country Coordinators are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of volunteers during their programs. Coordinators are also integral in helping volunteers carry out successful and meaningful awareness campaigns in their villages.  In this role, you will work closely with both the Volunteer Programs Manager (VPM), TZ Operations Manager, and U.S. Volunteer Manager.   Qualifications:  Alumni of SIC volunteer program preferred, other experience living and working in developing country and/or cross-cultural environment also considered Strong organizational skills, and proven ability to multitask Good people skills and ability to be tough when necessary   Terms:  SIC covers all work-related costs for this position (travel, accommodations, meals, and a small stipend).  In-Country Coordinators are expected to arrive in Arusha one week prior to the program start date, be available for the entire duration of the program they are coordinating, and stay 3-7 days after their program ends.   To apply:  Submit cover letter and CV/resume to applications@sichange.org by December 31, 2013.  Please subject your email “Last Name, First Name–In-Country Coordinator...
