Enter the Esteemed Charlie…

Late this evening, I was using the bathroom while reading a magazine on my iPad when Charlie knocked on my front door. Maggie just went bananas in the den when she realized it was him. “I’m coming!” I hollered extremely loudly from the bathroom trying to expedite things along. Finally, I got to the door and let Charlie inside. I was afraid he would leave and come back later. He’s such a high strung fellow. I was also hoping for my medications early today. “It is cold as shit outside,” said Charlie as he rubbed hands vigorously trying to get them warm. “You need to put some more clothes on as well.” Charlie had me count my pills to make sure all nine were there. I gulped them down with a swig of ice-cold Coca-Cola that Charlie had brought. He also gave me my two nighttime Klonopin to be taken before bed. We can’t have us schizophrenics staying up at all hours of the night, right? “I’ll see you in the morning with your breakfast,” he said. Charlie left for Auburn to take Horsefly to see the movie Freebirds. An animated film I think. Horsefly saw Gravity last week. Charlie says he really doesn’t watch the movies, but enjoys the ambiance. Huevos Con Jamón y Queso… I ate alone tonight without my furry little friend, Maggie, to covet my food and keep me company. After Charlie had left, I headed to the Waffle House for supper as grocery day looms ever closer and my cupboards grow bare. I once again got some of the best grits I have ever tasted anywhe...
