Promising stem cell trial results
Three year results from a five year study show promising results. 24 people with active relapsing remitting MS received high-dose immunosuppressive therapy followed by transplantation of their own stem cells. All but two showed no signs of progression, only three had had a relapse and 19 showed no loss of function, relapse or new MRI lesions.
