This time around, we note that MyoKardia hired Tassos Gianakakos as ceo, succeeding founding ceo Charles Homcy, who will remain on the board. Previously, he was with MAP Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Allergan this past March 2013, and was most recently senior vp and chief business officer. Prior to MAP, he led the formation of Codexis, where he was president, senior vp, business development and headed the pharma business unit. He also worked at Maxygen and Merck. AMAG Pharmaceuticals hired Rob Kaper as senior vp of medical and scientific affairs; NIH hired George Koob as director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism: Theravance hired Jeff Jonker as sr vp corporate and business development; Astellas hired Jeff Winton as senior vp and chief communications officer.
