We May Never Ever Meet Again…

♫I’ve Got to Know You Now♫ That’s what I was thinking at the local Circle K this morning.  That Amy Winehouse song played over and over in my head – my earworm for the day. The clerk called me sweetheart as she rung up my SoBe citrus orange drink and Maggie’s Slim Jims. “Where’s Marty?” I asked inquisitively this morning. “He’s got the night off Sweetie,” she replied, handing me my change. I was about to ask her for her phone number as she was very clearly flirting with me when I noticed her wedding ring.  I am no home wrecker so that was the end of that. I just told her thanks for being so kind and that I hoped to see her again. “Why thank you darling,” she replied with a warm smile as I walked out of the convenience store.  Just Mere Moments Before Charlie Arrives… Charlie will be here with breakfast at any moment. Maggie is already in the window looking out for his arrival after I told her that Charlie was on the way. I will hear a flurry of joyous barking when he pulls up in front of the house. I’m hoping for bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits this morning, but beggars can’t be choosers as the old saying goes. Listening to Sonya Kitchell “Robin in the Snow”
