Why doctors have to appear in the examination process when move to another country

Hi, I would like to have your opinion on this topic. I have been to different countries, and wherever you go you have to appear and qualify their examination. As far as i believe 80 percent of illnesses are the same all over the world. We all read almost same text books. There are differences in several diseases due to infections prevalent in particular areas, different weather and environmental conditions and again different facilities available. To solve these problems, I believe 6 months orientation and working under supervision is good enough for all well qualified Doctors. Unfortunately in certain countries it is more than 5 years to work under supervision after qualifying their exams to get the registration. These precious five years, one can do another professional degree. Many potentials are wasting out while we are crying for lack of health professionals all over the world.
