ConclusionDespite lack of spiritual care guidelines posing a problem, NEs unequivocally exemplified their willingness to teach students how to engage with patients’ spiritual needs. A need for a guiding theory and philosophy to formalised teaching spiritual care in nursing education was acknowledged.
