I’m so excited to announce that the videos we created that accompany these recipes recently launched! Most people don’t realize that lamb is a lean protein choice, rich in nutrients and taste. A 3 oz. portion has only 175 calories, on average. Lean cuts include the leg, loin and rack. Plus it’s packed with nutrition. Lamb is an excellent source of protein, vitamin B12, niacin, zinc, selenium, iron and riboflavin. Lamb even has omega-3′s. A 3-ounce serving of lamb provides about the same amount of omega-3s alpha-linolenic (ALA) found in a 1 tablespoon serving of olive oil. Lamb is Easy – Cook Like Beef or Chicken I think for some reason that people can be intimidated by it, but it’s actually really easy to prepare and is so versatile! It can be made just as easy as more “traditional” meats like chicken or beef — you can grill it, roast it, stir fry it, etc. — but it packs such a rich flavor and is so unexpected.
